Margaret “Elaine” Carter, 76, of Seligman, Mo., passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025.

She was born September 9, 1948, in Hamburg, Ark., the daughter of Wesley and Elizabeth (Martin) Walters, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a son, Tracy Carter and five brothers, Billy Walters, Lonnie Walters, Sammie Walters, Ronnie Walters, and Jerry Walters.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Carter of Seligman, Mo. and Tony Carter and his wife Rhonda of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Johnny Walters and his wife Rita of Fountain Hill, Ark., and Thomas Walters and his wife Sharon of Martinville, Ark.; two sisters, Treasa Pilgrim and her husband Tommy of Hamburg, Ark., and Kathy Barfield and her husband Jim of Martinville, Ark.; one granddaughter, and four great grandchildren.

She grew up and attended school in Hamburg, Ark., graduating from Hamburg High School. She worked for Superior Wheel Manufacturing for 5 years.

She was a member of Martinville Baptist Church in Hamburg.

Services were held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Mo.
