The Malcontents, a team representing Ellis, Cupps and Herrin, were crowned Trivia Night champions on March 7, by winning the overall competition.
The “Smarty Pants” award for most trivia questions answered correctly was also awarded to the Malcontents.
The fun-filled event raised $1,345.00 for the Cassville Education Fund. Six teams competed in the charitable event, with groups of co-workers, friends, classmates, family members and church members participating.
Sponsors of the event include: the Cassville Democrat, Cassville R-IV School District, Ellis Cupps and Herrin, Freedom Bank, State Farm Insurance, the United Methodist Church and Willis Insurance.
Emcee Judge Bob Foulke announced four rounds of trivia questions covering a wide range of subjects from history and sports to geography and animals. Bonus point games were played between rounds.
Proceeds from Trivia Night benefit the Cassville Education Fund, a permanent endowment fund for the educational needs of Cassville Schools.
