Doyle Eugene Edie, 85, of Exeter, Mo., passed away on March 26, 2025 at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Mo.

He was born July 28, 1939, in Liberty Township, Barry County, Mo. the son of Harvey Everett and Viola (Towe) Edie, who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Peggy Dean Stephens; two brothers, Webb Edie and Larry Edie; three sisters, Louise Hargus, Rosa Lee Richmond and Patsy Gentry.

Survivors include one son, Robert Edie and his wife Angie of Cassville, Mo.; one daughter, Melissa Garrison and her husband Shawn of Exeter, Mo.; five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He grew up in Exeter and was a proud graduate of Exeter High School, class of 1958. He dedicated many years to ensuring quality as an inspector at Jumping Jack’s Shoe Company and Justin Boot Company in Cassville, Mo.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Exeter.

Graveside services were held Friday, March 28, 2025 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Mo. under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Yarnall conducted the services.
