Vicki Diann Sturgeon, 69, of Stark City, Mo. passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo.

She was born October 30, 1955, in Lamar, Mo. the daughter of Dewey and Joanne (Storbeck) Patterson, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Allan Dale Sturgeon.

Survivors include her son, Dusty Sturgeon and his wife Val of Stark City, Mo.; daughters, Amy James and her husband Brad of Neosho, Mo. and Lindsay Bigham and her husband Chad of Joplin, Mo.; sister, Jolene Welch and her husband Ed of Willard, Mo.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She graduated from Marionville High School in Marionville, Mo. later attending Crowder College in Neosho. She was employed by Walmart as a pharmacy technician, as a secretary for the CPA Group, and worked alongside her husband Allan on their cattle and poultry farm.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 7, 2025 at Mount Olive Cemetery in Pioneer, Mo. under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the service.
