Despite rainy weather forcing a last-minute venue change, the 2025 Cassville Invitational High School Pickleball Tournament April 5 saw solid participation.
Originally scheduled to take place at Cassville City Park, the event was moved indoors to the Cassville High School gymnasium and FEMA II facility to accommodate players and spectators.
The tournament featured 29 student teams representing five high schools in southwest Missouri.
After a full day of competitive yet friendly matches, Cassville High School emerged as the overall team champion, earning the highest cumulative points to claim the 2025 title. Nevada High School secured second place, followed by Monett High School in third. Reeds Spring and Pierce City high schools tied for fourth place.
‘The event provided students with a unique opportunity to build skills, foster camaraderie and enjoy the sport in a spirited, supportive environment,’ a Cassville schools press release said. ‘The atmosphere remained upbeat and encouraging throughout the day, emphasizing sportsmanship and collaboration.’
The tournament was sponsored by Veregy, whose support helped make the event possible.
