Sharon Ann Smith, 77, of Cassville, Mo. passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at the home of her daughter.
She was born February 1, 1948, in Joplin, Mo. the daughter of Lou Theron and Bonnie Lucile (Eddington) Smith, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Steven G. Smith Sr.; step grandson, Patrick; brother, Butch Smith and sister, Carolyn Copher.
Survivors include her son, Steven Smith II and his wife Robin of Bentonville, Ark.; daughter, Mischelle Moore and her husband John of Rocky Comfort, Mo.; sister, Marilyn Connely and her husband Dale of Joplin, Mo.; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She grew up and attended school in Duenweg, Mo., graduating from Duenweg High School in 1965 later attending Crowder College, earning an Associate Degree in Business.
She and Steve moved to Cassville in 1975 coming from Joplin.
She owned and operated Stitches Fine Fabrics and Notions in Cassville for many years. She made numerous Quilts of Valor for disabled veterans. She was a former member of the Soroptimist Club, where she worked towards improving the lives of women and girls. She tutored Hispanic children in English.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
