After speaking to several people close to me, I was convinced that the taxpayers or citizens of Barry County need to know where their money is being spent and why. There were questions about the Jail purchase/build that the taxpayers were left in the dark about.

Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on Business 37 in Cassville and Missouri Route 76 in Barry and McDonald counties for a resurfacing project beginning Monday, the Missouri Department of Transportation said. This is where the work is being done: • Business 37 (Main Street) from Missouri Route 37 north of Cassville south approximately three (3) miles through town to Missouri Route 76 (5th Street) • Missouri Route 76 from McDonald County Route U south of Rocky Comfort east approximately 17 miles to Missouri Route 37 in Cassville On Business 37, the contractor will remove the old driving surface and replace it with a new asphalt surface and permanent striping.
