Meet Busta Rhymes, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Busta originally came to the Haven in May after being found with an injured leg. He was treated at a local vet, then came to the Haven to find his forever home. Busta is a beautiful boy who is believed to be a German Shepherd mix and is estimated to be a little over a year old. He’s extremely smart and playful and will easily learn anything a new owner would like to teach him. His very favorite activity is playing tennis.

Meet Bella Grace, the Haven of the Ozarks Pet of the Week. Bella is a beautiful girl who the Haven believes is just under 2-1/2 years old. She’s a good-sized pup who has the perfect amount of energy for nearly any family.

Jan. 10, 1973 Don McCaulley of Shell Knob has purchased equipment of Staples Construction Company and will operate the business, in addition to building, under the Doo-Rite Construction Company.

Wooten Roof wind damage — Twisting winds that hit Ridgley just after midnight the first Friday of 1972 left this gapping hole in the roof of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Wooten of Ridgley. Looking over the damage are Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Laney, nearby residents, whose property escaped damage. The Wooten home once served the Ridgley community as a school.

Employees at Arning Companies recently donated $500 to the Sleep in Heavenly Peace – MO, Exeter Chapter. Arning team members “dress-down” on Fridays by contributing to the Casual Friday for Charity (CFFC) fund.

Four new members will join the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce board on Jan. 1.

Dec. 6, 1972 State Trooper Don Myers, now stationed at Rolla, was scheduled for a transfer to Troop D headquartered in Springfield after the first of the year.

The Cassville Branch Library recently donated 400 children’s and youth books to the Cassville Pantry for free distribution Nov. 7-10 in honor of Children’s Book Week.
