Undoubtedly the busiest and possibly most welcome men in Cassville the week following Christmas 1972 were the duo above, Howard Fulton and Coy Cummens as they picked up discarded Christmas trees, gift wrappings and boxes at residents throughout town. Fulton said he estimated that pick-ups were twice as heavy as usual due to the Christmas holiday.

Jack Byrd and Doyle Thomas were renamed to the Cassville Industrial Development Board of Directors in an annual meeting attended by 13 of the 130 shareholders. The meeting lasted 20 minutes and included a financial report by Lloyd Perry, president.
