The Cassville Rotary Rodeo has earned a distinction among International Professional Rodeo Association Members. Cassville’s rodeo was voted in the Top 5 New Rodeos of the Year.

businesses After nearly 13 years with the city of Cassville and the last seven as city administrator, Steve Walensky has announced his retirement, effective May 1, 2024. Walensky, who took on the role of works director in 2011 and moved to city administrator in 2016, said he has greatly enjoyed his time working with the mayor, city council and the residents of Cassville.
Every year, the community comes together for a special cause, the annual Share Your Christmas event. Share Your Christmas is a program through the OACAC Barry County Neighborhood Center, with help from the First Baptist Church and the Cassville United Methodist Church, to make sure children throughout the county have gift for Christmas day.
An electrical fire at the Promised Land Safari Park in Eagle Rock resulted in the loss of the structure last week. Pamela Stillwell, assistant fire chief at the Eagle Rock-Golden-Mano Fire Department, said at 8:24 p.m.
A new restaurant has opened its doors in Cassville, offering a fare unique to the area — fried chicken and waffles. Reid Dore, co-owner with Cash Watkins, said the idea for Weezer’s Sweet Chicken & Waffles came while they were passing through the city to Roaring River State Park.
