The Cassville Democrat has hired a new sales executive who brings a wealth or journalism experience to the award-winning publication. Joining the sales team at the Cassville Democrat is Jessica Breger, a native of Austin, Texas.

Y ears 50 years ago March 20, 1974 — STATE TOO IN QUANDARY ABOUT HIGHWAY WORK The 352 miles of state roads in Barry County face the same problems of maintenance and improvement as do county roads according to Bill Maroney, county maintenance supervisor for District Seven of the Missouri Highway Department. Costs of oil and materials will directly determine the amount of work that will be accomplished.

I want to be North Alderman because I love Cassville and I would like to give back to make our community a better place to live now and in the future.

Age: 39 Current Occupation: Executive Director-Barry County E9-1-1 Past Experience: 20 Years in Public Safety with 13 years in an executive leadership role, current North Alderman Education: ENP (Emergency Numbering Professional) with numerous coursework and CEU’s in budgets, leadership, scheduling, employee management and government regulations/ legislation 1. Why do you want to be North Ward Alderman? I currently serve as North Ward Alderman, during this term, I directly served on the Police Efficiency committee where we made positive changes with benefits, pay and equipment to make CPD more attractable as an employer, which drastically improved our hiring position and retention of officers.
