Tiger Band takes 3rd in small schools
On Oct. 19, the Exeter High School band participated in the Missouri Southern Homecoming Parade in downtown Joplin. The Tiger Band finished in third place in the small school division. The Tiger band will also perform in the Exeter Christmas Parade on Dec. 7, and the band will perform as part of the Exeter School Christmas concert on Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Three Cassville women were injured on Nov. 12 in a wreck at 3:10 p.m. on Highway 37, one mile north of Cassville.

Lady Eagles get double-digit wins
For the first time in eight seasons, the Purdy volleyball team achieved a double-digit win total. The Lady Eagles, who had only three seniors and a majority of freshmen this season, finished at 11-22-3, falling in the Class 2, District 10 quarterfinals to Sarcoxie, 3-0 (21-25, 15-25, 13-25).
Barry County Council on Aging seeks community support
The Barry County Council on Aging (BCCOA), a vital resource for local seniors, is reaching out to the community for financial support to continue offering essential services to senior citizens in Barry County. According to a Council press release, currently, the council’s programs and resources are funded exclusively by the Barry County Senior Citizens Tax Fund Board.
