On Feb. 19, the Barry County Judicial Center was closed due to hazardous road conditions and dangerously cold temperatures. During this time, a family noticed that the sidewalks had not been cleared and took it upon themselves to assist.

Tim Hendrix, producer of The Jobs Podcast, grew up in the four-state area and went to college in San Diego, met his wife in Colorado and moved to Blue Eye in 2004, then Cassville 6 years ago.

Exeter’s Stephens qualifies for Joplin Globe Spelling Bee
On Jan. 31, students at Exeter elementary competed in the qualifier for the Joplin Globe Spelling Bee. Allie Stephens, a fifth-grade student, was the winner and is now qualified to compete in the annual Joplin Globe Spelling Bee on March 14.
